Position Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator, LPC is responsible for managing purchasing activities, optimizing inventory levels and ensuring the supply chain needs are met for maximum operational efficiency for the 2 LP Cylinder plants. The Coordinator will ensure quality materials are available for site operations including maintenance and repairs, ensuring they support safety, quality, on-time delivery and productivity goals. The Coordinator will oversee vendors and monitor vendor lead times to avoid delays for supplies. The Coordinator works closely with the operations and logistics teams and is a part of the LP Cylinder plant staff.
Key Responsibilities:
· Place orders for materials required for refurbishing operations, maintaining optimal inventory levels to minimize production delays.
· Oversee vendor relations; manage all purchasing orders using QuickBooks.
· Monitor and optimize inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts to enhance reorder points and quantities, particularly for finished goods inventory, including cosmetic and new tank inventory.
· Order standard inventory items as required to support operational needs.
· Oversee all Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and initiating purchasing orders as needed.
· Receive goods accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and inventory updates are completed.
· Support receiving operations, including data entry and inventory reconciliation against purchase orders.

· Collect and analyze weekly inventory reports from operations to track supplies and product availability.
· Collaborate with the dispatcher to monitor vendor lead times and prevent potential delays in production operations.
· Develop and maintain Kanban system for the operation.
· Assist with the preparation and submission of purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Assist in production scheduling as needed.
Experience:
· Experience in operations, logistics, or supporting purchasing or inventory required.
· Experience using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks; familiarity with inventory management software is preferred.
· Demonstrated problem-solving skills to resolve operational challenges.
· Knowledge of procurement processes and basic financial principles a plus.

Education and Certification Qualifications:
- Associates degree in supply chain management, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Travel
· Minimal travel required to customer or supplier sites.

Pay: $52,500.00 - $55,000.00 per year
