FS Solutions, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, has nearly 100 years of experience in the markets of industrial vacuum loading, vacuum excavation, vacuum trucks, and industrial high-pressure water-blasting.
Reporting to the Location Manager, the Parts & Service Support Tech (Williston, ND) will assist with the daily operations of our service, rentals and shipping and receiving departments. They must have the ability to work autonomously, interact effectively with customers, and possess the skills to use applicable software and/or systems. This individual must have strong organizational, shipping & receiving, computer, and systems management skills.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls in a courteous, prompt, and efficient manner.
- Create and/or maintain customer and vendor relationships through consistent customer service, communication and follow through.
- Assist customers and vendors both in person and by phone with the primary focus being to address the requirements to prevent unnecessary escalation.
- Work with customers both by phone and in person to enter orders, check status of orders, create copies of invoices and manage special requests.
- Communicate sales, promotions and new products when directly assisting customers.
- Pick, pack and ship parts and other items as required.
- Move material to appropriate areas throughout the facility and document in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain applicable inventory levels by using the appropriate software or systems.
- Notify Location Manager of inventory shortages or discrepancies.
- Monitor shipping supplies and notify Location Manager when supplies are low or inaccurate.
- Interact with freight carriers and notify carriers of shipments, shipment weights and dimensions.
- Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments while inspecting for damages, shortages and reporting any findings to carrier and/or Location Manager.
- Perform cycle counts in accordance with established procedures
- Other duties as required and assigned
Job Requirements and Skills:
- High school diploma or (GED)
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving and time-management skills.
- 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
