Installation Technician
The Installation Technician assists the Lead Installation Technician with project installations within our Access Control Systems/Automated Gates/Video Surveillance/Audio Visual/IT Systems
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible to assist the Lead Technician to complete the entire scope of work for an assigned project
- Responsible for prepping the area for installation and keeping the area clean
- Assists with loading and unloading of tools, equipment, and supplies for the job
- Oversees cost effectiveness and proper disposal of leftover materials
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn new products and attend Company trainings as required
- Demonstrates strong customer service and collaborates seamlessly within a team setting
- Responsible for keeping company vehicle clean and will notify the Lead Technician or Operations Manager with any issues regarding the vehicle
- Operates company vehicles in a safe manner following the Company Vehicle Safety Policy
- Regular attendance at work and provides appropriate flexibility
- Adherence to all Company and job site specific safety guidelines and policies
- Other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years’ experience in the construction industry or similar field.
- Previous experience in access control, automated gates, video surveillance, Audio Visual and IT systems is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic components, low voltage systems, computers, networks and programming is preferred
- Ability to follow directions and perform tasks assigned by the Lead Technician
- Ability to use basic power and hand tools to perform installation functions
- As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Company headquarters, the job site, or a designated meeting location
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule, including willingness to travel out of town for projects
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8+ hours a day, 40+ hours a week
- Ability to understand, speak and write English

- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent

- Compensation Range: based on experience
- Position hours: 7:00AM-3:30PM
- Offsite travel required
- Must provide basic tools (we provide the rest)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment for which this employee will be responsible to perform duties includes but is not limited to new construction sites, buildings, parking decks and other locations to perform the scope of work of a project and must abide by all safety requirements of all job sites. The employee will drive safely in a hectic city environment and enter and exit various job site locations including parking garages and decks to perform services and installations. The employee may occasionally have to lift and/or move up to eighty pounds. The employee will be expected to work with a crew or independently to perform services or installations. The employee may on occasion have to work out of state.
