Position Overview
The Coordinator of Alumnae & Constituent Engagement is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage constituent groups in strengthening the institution through their financial, professional, and volunteer commitment and services.
Specifically, the Coordinator of Alumnae & Constituent Engagement is charged with building a culture of belonging and philanthropy with current students and parents; serving as an ambassador with alumnae; engaging with the broader community to promote the OC mission; maintaining, increasing, and stewarding the EITC/OSTC program of the school; serving as a pipeline for identifying and cultivation of major gift donors; and collaborating with colleagues in the advancement office, including but not limited to Admissions, Advancement, and PR & Marketing. As the individual frequently in direct contact with all constituents, the Coordinator of Alumnae & Constituent Engagement will assist the President and Director of Advancement in designing, developing, and implementing the school’s major gift program including the annual appeal and OC Give Day, and in assisting the managing and cultivating of relationships with existing major gift prospects, as well as identifying new prospects.
The Coordinator of Alumnae & Constituent Engagement will be directly involved in the planning of all major events including but limited to annual auction, golf classic, grandparents day, career symposium, senior class events, faculty events, and all alumnae events and outreach.
The ideal candidate possesses a commitment to Catholic education, experience in planning events, fundraising through direct contact, and has the competency and skills needed to build on and broaden the base of strong constituency relationships with parents, alumnae, donors, board of directors, and the community. An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate our organization’s mission is key. The individual is expected to be engaging with all groups of individuals connected to Oakland Catholic High School.
Responsibilities
- Takes specific responsibility for identifying, engaging, managing and affirming volunteers in support of specific advancement program goals and projects, primarily the Oakland Catholic Fund, Alumnae Relations program, and the PA Education Improvement (EITC) and PA Opportunity Scholarship (OSTC) tax credit program to benefit Oakland Catholic High School.
- Coordinates OC Give Day effort in support of the Oakland Catholic Fund.
- Serves as a resource in identifying and developing relationships with key major gift / planned gift prospects for the President and Director of Advancement by identifying, cultivating, and managing a personal portfolio of prospects believed capable of substantially increased philanthropy in support of Oakland Catholic High School, with a focus on planned gifts.
- Provides a personal presence for Oakland Catholic High School with Alumnae by keeping current data in Raisers Edge. Coordinates and manages Alumnae Happy Hours and other social gatherings, annual Alumnae Legacy Brunch, and the Senior Class/Alumnae Liturgy and Luncheon.
- Assists with publication of The OC Review with regard to alumnae news and highlights.
- Assists with Admissions Open House with regard to testimonial publications and/or alumnae presence.
- Maintains Alumnae archive information and coordinates outreach and engagement efforts.
- Assists in facilitating Alumnae Reunions.
Position Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree or equivalent
- Oakland Catholic High School Alumna preferred
- Self-starter/self-motivated, well organized, detail oriented
- Minimum of three years of fundraising or equivalent experience
- Excellent people skills are required to represent Oakland Catholic High School with the highest degree of professionalism
- Effective writing, organizational and communication skills are required.
- Must be able to work independently, and with minimal supervision to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Experience with computers, including Google and Microsoft platforms and a variety of social media including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instragma, and Graduay. Ability to quickly learn and utilize database software such as Raisers Edge, Maestrosoft Auction software, Canva, Adobe, or design software experience is a plus.
- Assist with relevant website updates on an ongoing basis as they pertain to job-related responsibilities.
- Experience with office practices and needs including high level of confidentiality, accuracy, organization and detail, filing, mailing processing, etc.
Working Conditions
- Position is a full time, year-round position at Oakland Catholic High School that will require some evening and weekend duties for school and/or alumnae events.
- May require limited travel.
