Responsibilities:
The CNC Lathe and Swiss Setup/Programmer will be responsible for setting up and running 2-3 Hanwha Swiss type lathes and or a traditional Miyano fixed head lathes for production runs. 4-5 setups per week average. In addition, this position may also be responsible for programming new parts and jobs that come through the swiss department.
Skills:
- Proficient in CATIA, CAD, SolidWorks, and other design software
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining techniques
- Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges
- Familiarity with lathe operations and tooling setups
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Minimum 3-5 years setting up CNC Swiss machines or lathes. Basic knowledge in program editing and tool selection. Knowledge writing new programs in MasterCam will be a plus but not a necessity for consideration.
