Flint Hills Resources is now hiring a Plant Manager to lead our Dubuque, IA Asphalt plant. Flint Hills Resources (FHR) operates critical infrastructure at facilities across North America and is part of Koch Industries, a global leader in several industrial markets. We produce a diverse range of fuels and products that are essential to everyday life.
This role also offers a flexible 9/80 work schedule, meaning there is the potential for every other Friday off depending on workload or potential plant needs.

What You Will Do
- Oversee day to day asphalt, production operations and customer shipping expectations for the Dubuque, IA facility.
- Manage and mentor a high performing team by providing coaching, performance feedback, mentoring and continual performance development strategies.
- Ensure our commitment to compliance, safety, and environmental performance is being upheld by yourself, our employees, and contractors.
- Help identify and drive ownership over valued and schedule driven projects through disciplined execution practices.
- Be available with the flexibility to solve any after-hour plant operations issues that may arise requiring your level of responsibility.
- Learning and applying our FHR leadership expectations by making decisions that align with our company's risk profile.
- Learning, contributing, and executing FHR terminal operations strategies and priorities to ensure we are achieving operations excellence specifically with plant reliability and maintenance, energy management, quality improvements and associated performance metrics.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Operations OR prior military experience
- Ability to meet physical requirements for the role
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:

Ability to be medically approved to participate in HAZWOPER associated programs.
- Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, handle, bend, twist, climb and balance.

Ability to lift to 50 pounds (with frequent carrying of up to 25 pounds)
- Ability to respond to audio alarms, or other loud noises that would indicate a safety concern
What Will Put You Ahead
- Previous leadership/management experience
- Construction/maintenance and mechanical aptitude experience
- Previous industry experience in asphalt plant operations
