What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a creative and forward-thinking Social Media Manager to lead our social media efforts with our mascot character IP (and NFT collection) within our metaverse company, aiming to further strengthen our global community. As a vital member of our branding and marketing team, you will be responsible for crafting and executing engaging social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, GIPHY, Discord, as well as TikTok, YouTube, and more. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web3 communities and be passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to foster meaningful connections within our community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with the company's character IP, fostering engagement, community growth, and brand loyalty.
- Ideate, curate, and manage all published content (images, videos, text) across social platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice and style.
- Monitor social media trends, conversations, and emerging platforms in the web3 space, gaming, and related industries.
- Collaborate closely with the branding team to integrate metaverse-related initiatives into broader marketing campaigns.
- Plan and execute captivating social media campaigns, contests, and events to drive user participation and excitement.
- Build and nurture a strong online community by engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering positive interactions.
- Analyze social media performance metrics regularly to assess the effectiveness of strategies, and adjust approaches as needed to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stay informed about changes in social media algorithms and best practices, adapting strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
- Manage influencer partnerships and collaborations, harnessing their reach to amplify the company's metaverse presence and character IP.
- Monitor user-generated content related to the character IP, seeking opportunities to spotlight and celebrate community contributions.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Proficient in English
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience (2 years) as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
- In-depth understanding of web3 communities, NFTs, and the metaverse ecosystem.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms to track and report on performance.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English), with a knack for crafting engaging and on-brand content.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative social media campaign ideas.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders.
Preferred/ Bonus Points:
- Hands-on experience with NFTs, blockchain technology, and virtual worlds.
- Previous success in building and managing online communities.
- Familiarity with popular metaverse platforms and virtual reality (VR) environments.
- Strong graphic design and video editing skills, demonstrated through a portfolio of relevant work.
