Our animal hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist/ Client Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and an extensive knowledge of Veterinary terminology. We're seeking an exceptional individual who is capable of quickly assessing customer needs and scheduling patients effectively. The ideal candidate is able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a team as well as independently. In addition to proving excellent customer service and ensuring the front desk operations run smoothly, the client service representative acts as the primary greeter when a client enters our office with their pet, begins the medical record, and informs the appropriate technician of the client's arrival.
Responsibilities:
- Answer a high volume of phones and greet incoming visitors.
- Take messages and relay information accurately and quickly.
- Arrange appointments for clients.
- Answer questions about the vet's schedule, fees, and medical services.
- Provide outstanding and outgoing customer service.
- Process and handle payments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing emails as well as text communications.
- Enter data into medical records
- Maintain cleanliness of the waiting rooms and exam rooms
Knowledge of Avimark is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used in veterinary clinics
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
