Our company is an environment that operates like a family in a home-setting in the beautiful hills above Orem/Provo. We provide 24-hr care for adolescent females receiving treatment for a variety of disorders and challenges.
Shift Info: Full-time; Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm
Position Summary: Being dependable and have good strong Math skills in this role is an absolute must!
Interacting with adolescent residents, either individually or in group settings. Your time will consist of documentation, overseeing client's daily activities, assisting with dinner and evening activities, bedtime routine, and supporting your peers as needed. We have a full-time chef at the residence who prepares most meals for our residents and staff is welcome to eat with the resident's during meals on their scheduled shifts.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Expectations are to perform this job successfully, as part of Direct Care Staff with our adolescent female residents. Must be able to lift and also ability to perform passive physical restraints, though rare.
- Interact routinely with residents, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff.
- Help with basic classroom activities, grading assignments.
- Document information regarding care and behavior as required by policy and procedure.
- Attend to physical needs of the residents, such as assistance with personal hygiene tasks, meal prep, and at times, basic homework.
- Occasionally run errands related to resident care and house needs.
- Supervise residents in "special care areas" as assigned.
- Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention when exposed to volatile residents to maintain personal safety while ensuring safety for the resident and other individuals on the unit.
- Participate in treatment planning and implementation under the direction of clinical staff involved in the resident's care.
- Participate in maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe environment; report needs for repairs and maintenance to appropriate staff.
- Assist in admissions and discharges as assigned.
- Assist nursing staff in responding to emergency situations.
- Work to ensure all shift duties are completed.
- Conduct and assist with selected activity groups as assigned and document according to policy and procedures.
- Participate in implementation of unit therapeutic programming.
- Assist in planning and attend meetings with other Direct Care Staff.
***FINAL PAY WILL BE OFFERED BASED ON EXPERIENCE***
