DESCRIPTION
In addition to assuming the responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Technician, The Lead Behavioral Health technician is responsible for the training of all new Behavioral Health Technicians, supervises and is held accountable for the floor, assembles and hosts team meetings and trainings, and acts as the liaison between the Program Director and the Behavioral Health Technicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trains all new behavioral health technicians on duties, responsibilities, and competencies upon hire
Assumes responsibility for the floor and acts as the point person to answer questions and give direction to behavioral health technicians
Assembles and hosts monthly team meetings and trainings and is held accountable for staff attendance
Acts as the liaison between the program director and the behavioral health technicians
Provides basic nursing care, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
Participates in Performance Improvement Initiatives in areas such as: patient education, staff development, team building, and program development and improvement
Assumes the duty as Patient Advocate
Assists with Intakes and Admissions
Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information
Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
In a 12-hour work day: standing/walking up to 12 hours per day
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
You must have the ability to use tools and equipment required for the position
Mental Focus: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
1+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity
3+ years of experience in face-to-face client-based interaction work
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain upon 60 days of hire

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED Preferred
ADDITIONAL NOTES
