The primary purpose of the Accounting Administrator is to provide support to the Accounting Managers: Payroll and Assistant Manager
General Job Description/Skills Needed
- Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5pm. Benefits included
- REQUIRED: Payroll experience for 50 or more employees. Preferably Payroll in Construction and Certified Payroll
- Proficient in all Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient in extensive Multi-Tasking, Fast paced work environment
- Be able to pass drug test, and background check
Specific Skills Needed
· Experience with construction payroll/Accounting systems.
· Working knowledge of general labor laws and regulations as they apply to payroll.
· Skills to analyze and solve accounting/payroll problems.
· Oral and written communication skills
· Advanced Experience with excel spreadsheets, word processing, databases and navigation software (i.e.; MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
· Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively and effectively within a team environment.
· Certified Payroll experience
· Construction payroll experience or related for a field of 50 or more employees
Added Skills a plus:
· Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
· 2 years’ experience in a clerical position with Payroll, Accounting and HR focus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Gather together all field timesheets and check off to schedule and manual entry into system
· Review all office time clocks and check off to weekly spreadsheet
· Update and maintain electronic employee files in software as well as physical files
· Process weekly Certified Payroll Reports (Federal, State and Municipal) in Excel,
LCP Tracker, Elations, EMARS, and Labor & Industries (LNI/ SAW), in an accurate and timely manner
Assist with Certification tracking for all employees
· Ensure accuracy and compliance with wage scale, apprenticeships, fringes, wage determinations, and authorized employee payroll deductions
Review new job startup packages for certified payroll or prevailing wage requirements.
Work with project managers to ensure that all job startup and/or subcontractor startup paperwork is completed and submitted timely and accurately prior to job start date.
Work in Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable
Asset accountability – understand Inventory controls
