JOB SUMMARY:
This position assists in overseeing retail operations of the Museum Store, online store and daily museum operations in the area of Visitor Services and guest experience. Serves as Manager on Duty when the Visitor Services Manager is out or unable to perform their management responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with all aspects of the front desk and Museum Store’s daily operations including but not limited to stocking, pricing, assisting customers, conducting ticket sales, group and event management and assisting the Memorial and Museum visitors.
- Must work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate a seven-day workweek, and when serving as Manager on Duty, ensure all positions are covered during absences of staff.
- Assists with coordination of ticketing and balancing of store receipts with Visitor Services Manager and Staff Accountant.
- Assists Visitor Services Manager with product development.
- Understanding the Memorial mission and striving towards the enhancement of this mission with products sold in the store.
- Upholding, modeling and training the highest levels of customer care and quality standards.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Retail experience with heavy emphasis on customer service.
- Knowledge or ability to learn retail software and report preparation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Will work in an office environment, but should be flexible should responsibilities require work outside the office building. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
