Position: Property Inspector / Guest Services Agent
This position must be filled with someone who possesses a passion for customer service and a flair for seeing the details. Serious applicants only please. Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Clearly and accurately communicate with guests to ensure they have an outstanding vacation experience.
- Inspect houses after they have been cleaned. You must have very good attention to detail - catching the little things that our housekeepers may have missed.
- Inspect properties before guest arrivals and after guest departures, reporting repair items to the Maintenance team, and working issues through to resolution.
- Re-stocking houses with soaps and other supplies
- Regularly use a number of phone/web apps to interact with Guests, manage reservations, and remote control house systems (thermostats, pools, etc)
- Keep on-site inventory supplied and organized
- About 40% office/desk work: communicating with guests, owners, and co-workers, 60% field work: inspecting and preparing our houses for rental.
FIRM Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years Short-Term Vacation Rental Management experience is REQUIRED. We would like you to be able to hit the ground running without months of training first.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Smart Phone/Computer/Tablet literate
- Honest and trustworthy
- Good time management skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize your workload
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work 30-40 hrs/week. Must be able to regularly work: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Working holidays and occasionally into overtime should be expected, especially during high season
- An independent self-starter with a “can-do” attitude
- Friendly inter-personal skills and ability to work well with a team
- Excellent driving record, regular daily access to a very reliable vehicle. Must reside within 15 minute drive to Palm Springs.
- Physical ability and willingness to occasionally roll-up your sleeves when our Maintenance Engineering Team is unavailable: climb a ladder to change a light bulb, re-fill and change a BBQ Grill propane tank, maybe even clean a few leaves out of the pool with the net, etc. As such, there may be an occasional need to lift and carry as much as 45lbs.
Compensation: $20-26/hr, commensurate with experience
