Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals with dementia, autism, and other special needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with dementia, including patient care, personal care, and daily living skills.
- Assist with daily routines, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Support residents with mobility issues, including lifting and transferring as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to all facility guidelines and regulations.
- Utilize electronic systems to track resident care and communicate with other caregivers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and supportive care environment.
Experience:
- Previous experience in dementia care, hospice care, or long-term care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of autism and the ability to work effectively with individuals with autism.
- Experience with caregiving and providing direct support to individuals with special needs.
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely and comfortably.
- Familiarity with electronic systems and their use in healthcare settings.

Pay: $24.85 - $26.59 per hour
