Job Responsibilities:
- Support all company safety, health, environmental, and quality programs and policies, and be accountable for the performance of these programs in the plant, I/E department and the maintenance department.
- Works with planners to develop a daily and weekly work schedule to secure adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance focusing on I/E but working collaboratively with the mechanical planner and operations to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities
- Audit assignments and resources to ensure repair schedules and performance expectations are met.
- Develops and maintains KPI’s for maintenance activities to show compliance rates and mean time between failures
- Works with appropriate personnel to improve job plans and PM’s.
- Supports all activities associated with planned plant outages with direction from plant maintenance management team.
- Operations and plant startup assistance/coverage
- Instills safety in others by being safety minded; models good safety practices.
- Participates in operational/routine maintenance tasks within the facility work group without interruption of customer product deliveries.
- Leads open communication amongst all facility technicians in relation to best practices, operational/facility needs, safety issues/concerns, conflicts of interest between shifts/other departments, sharing operational knowledge/expertise.
- Assists/works closely with operations or Plant Manager with daily facility needs.
- Completes or assists with operational work orders, and completes in MAXIMO.
- Conducts acceptance PSSR reviews with operations and maintenance.
- Identifies potential needs, enters them into MAXIMO.
- Keeps accurate records; diligent in documentation, record retention policies/procedures. Determines if immediate maintenance action is required; documents it; reports to appropriate personnel.
- Studying/maintaining site-specific standard operating procedures, P&IDs, PFDs, electrical one lines, DCS interlocks all other technical documentation as relates to operational/equipment processes.
- Escorting on-site contractors, vendors, guests, or visitors throughout the facility as needed; ensures their compliance with national safety policies/procedures.
- Participation in facility safety meetings, inspections.
- Be able to perform basic troubleshooting of motors, switchgear, instrumentation, and DCS
- Communicates directly with Purchasing and National Warehouse regarding parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled Work Orders and PM Orders.
- Maintains high level of service and work performance, and also supports and promotes a positive and cooperative team environment which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.
- Ensures all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or job plan changes associated with the work are accurately recorded within CMMS, and work is closed in a timely manner.
- Follows policies/procedures on proper notification for vacation scheduling, floating holidays, personal days off.
- Identify critical spares and use the ISR system to secure parts
- Manages a team of I/E technicians.
Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in plant maintenance and I/E activities
- Ability to learn/follow national/local standard operating procedures; follow through on instructions; work with minimal supervision; read/interpret blueprints, flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P and IDs, electrical schematics.
- Perform basic math operations.
- Experience with CMMS; ability to use required software computer applications.
- Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, FRC clothing.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Thorough understanding of safety requirements when working around plant equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to foster teamwork and navigate matrix organizations.
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane
Preferred Qualifications:
- Maximo experience
- Experience with Air Separation, Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Compressors, Boilers, Clarifiers, and de-ionized Water is a plus
- General knowledge of both I&E and Mechanical maintenance
- 2 year Associates Degree in Instrumentation
