This position performs specialized repairs and mechanical maintenance tasks for equipment utilized by the County and overall preventative and general maintenance responsibilities for all Adams County facilities.
Building and Maintenance personnel must be able and willing to report to work during regularly scheduled shifts if directed to do so by management regardless of whether or not the Courthouse is closed due to weather conditions.
Qualifications
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Prior experience maintaining and repairing gas and diesel engines.
3. Ability to diagnose and repair various engines/motors/equipment.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills.
5. Overall general building and maintenance knowledge required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to:
- perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and movement of whole body (climbing, bending, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and carrying)
- use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things. Must be able to use hands and arms to work overhead.
- lift up to 75 pounds by oneself, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- stand heights up to 50 feet with lift
- operate motor vehicles, dump truck, bobcat and zero turn mower.

Compensation: $20.18 - $22.03 dependent upon experience
