Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to be responsible for the management of the Human Resource and Payroll departments. In this position, he/she will oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, and employee development. The ideal candidate must have solid leadership skills and a track record of successfully implementing HR strategies. This includes overseeing Human Resource/Payroll initiatives and systems as well as managing the HR Team along with communicating between Senior Leadership and Management to ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations
Duties:
- Talent acquisition and retention for all levels within the organization as well as collaborating with external recruitment agencies when appropriate.
- Training & Development
- Acquisition planning and execution
- ACA Compliance
- Benefit Administration to include monthly Insurance enrollment, changes, terminations and balancing of monthly billing/invoicing
- 401(k) Plan Administration & Compliance including annual auditing practices
- Bi-Weekly Payroll processing including garnishments and child support, tax filing and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Year-end W-2 processing along with Finance Team
- HRIS Administration for UKG timekeeping system as well as HRIS Maintenance/ New Hire Entry
- Employee Relations and Policy Administration
- Wage and Hours Compliance and Compensation Administration
- FMLA & Short-term disability administration
- BLS Quarterly Reporting & Compliance
- OSHA and safety compliance, Worker’s Compensation Administration
- DOT Driver compliance, Fed Med tracking, Driver License tracking, MVR review
- DOT Driver random drug screening administration and tracking
- UST Class AB, Liquor License and ServSafe Training & Tracking
- Annual Performance Management administration, training and 90-day post-hire
- Unemployment Administration
- Complete Background Checks post-interview and prior to job offer
- J1 Visa Interexchange program leader
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business-related field is preferred, will consider combined education and experience
- 5+ years of previous Human Resource Manager experience in a company similar in size with preference to post-secondary education preferred
Skills:
- Natural ability to lead teams thru empathy, good judgment and exceptional communication
- Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Conflict resolution experience to manage employee conflicts, mediation, disputes, discipline, pay negotiation and insurance claims.
- Public speaking ability to give HR presentations to employees, managers and Board of Directors
- Exercises proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook programs
- Previous experience maintaining/creating HRIS systems to track 300+ employees with preference to UKG/Kronos experience.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to manage confidential information to include wage information for all personnel within the Company.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
