Global Logistics and Fulfillment, a fast-growing third-party logistics business operating in Las Vegas and the Southern California Inland Empire, seeks a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide on-site and remote IT support, setup and maintenance of key IT equipment and systems, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, monitor and maintain network security, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role also involves regular travel to our Rancho Cucamonga locations to handle IT requests and provide on-site support as needed.
This Full Time position will report to the Vice President or designee.
Core duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- On-site and remote technical support for GLF staff, including setup, configuration and troubleshooting of computers, tablets, printers, company VOIP and cellular phones, networks, scanners, teleconference, video/security and other IT equipment and associated applications (including MS Office);
- Support onboarding of new employees with equipment and appropriate IT logins/applications, email management, as well as provide basic user training;
- Act as first point of contact and timely resolution for internal IT requests, including establishment and maintenance of support ticket system;
- Frequent monitoring, management and maintenance of GLF servers (email, webhosting), network infrastructure, VOIP systems, video/security systems, firewalls, and other key IT systems to maintain system security and functionality;
- Planning, configuration and maintenance of local and/or cloud-based backups;
- Assist management as requested in creating and maintaining documentation for IT processes/SOPs and internal training materials pertaining to computer and IT technology troubleshooting and usage;
- Learn core WMS capabilities and support warehouse deployments, WMS reports, and customer integrations as needed;
- Preparation of Weekly and Monthly IT system status reports, as well as Quarterly IT budget and improvement plan;
- Planning and management of IT equipment and supplies, including asset tracking, requisitions, deployment, repairs via vendors, and evaluation/disposal of obsolete or damaged product;
- Management of IT vendors (reviews, screening, selection and monitoring), including all ISP, hosting, software, cloud services, technical support, and related IT service suppliers;
- Periodic updates to written GLF IT and Cybersecurity policies, as well as assist in IT Audits, ensuring compliance and regular implementation of software patches;
- Explore feasibility and implement options for warehouse monitoring technology and QR forms, including equipment inspections, safety, temperature, capacity utilization, and equipment tracking;
- Other IT and technology related activities as assigned.
Requirements or Preferences:
- Minimum of 4 years of related IT experience or a combination of education and professional IT experience;
- Preference for candidates with a minimum of an associate degree in a related IT field (completed or in process);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft 365), Windows 10/11, and GoogleSuite/Workspace; basic ChromeOS and Raspberry Pi knowledge;
- Experience with networking software, hardware and protocols, network security concepts, Webhost Manager/CPanel, and network administration;
- Experience installing and configuring servers, remote control tools, firewalls, VPN tools and backup software;
- Good communication, problem solving, and prioritization skills;
- Ability to consult with internal customers to understand their IT needs;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as self-motivate to work without constant direction;
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when addressing technology-based emergency situations;
- Must have ability to travel 3-5 days/month to Southern California;
- Must be able to periodically lift up to 40 pounds, climb ladders, and be able to traverse large warehouse facilities;
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Hours
Depending on experience, starting pay range is $23-$25/hr. A $250 signing bonus provided after first 60-days if no unexcused absences.
Compensation also includes Dental, Vision and Life Insurance; PTO; and matching 401K program.
Position is Full-Time, with typical M-F schedule of 8:00am-4:30pm (TBD, may require additional hours during peak season or emergencies). Periodic travel between Las Vegas and Southern California will be required.
