As an Akron Food Associate, you will play a vital role in executing standard work and ensuring high-quality product performance. In this role, you will:
- Execute specific tasks based on SOPs to complete Work Orders efficiently.
- Meet productivity metrics and contribute to individual and team-based scorecards.
- Adhere to quality control practices and meet customer expectations for product performance.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met based on QC audits and contribute to quality metrics on individual and team-based scorecards.
Responsibilities:
- Execute specific tasks assigned for completing Work Orders based on established SOPs.
- Follow standard work practices to accomplish tasks efficiently and maintain acceptable work rates.
- Meet productivity metrics as outlined in the GEMBA Board Productivity Metrics, both at the individual and team levels.
- Adhere to quality control practices and guidelines during routine work to ensure "First Time Right" quality.
- Follow SOPs and training procedures to meet customer expectations for product performance.
- Participate in QC audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to maintaining quality metrics on the GEMBA Board.
- Report any deviations, issues, or non-conformities identified during routine work to the appropriate channels.
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvement and share suggestions for optimizing work procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of materials and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Keep updated on changes in SOPs, work procedures, or regulatory requirements and ensure compliance in daily tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with standard operating procedures is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to execute assigned tasks based on established SOPs and work practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to meet productivity targets and work efficiently.
- Familiarity with quality control practices and their importance in meeting customer expectations.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to product performance and QC audits.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to report issues or non-conformities.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and priorities.
