Summary: Performs patient-specific duties in the are of fertility including patient care, teaching, triage, procedures, and protocol in a clinical and operating room setting under the direction of the physician by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs transvaginal follicular and prenatal ultrasounds.*
- Performs intrauterine inseminations.*
- Administers medications and follows medication protocols.*
- Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines.*
- Triages patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area.*
- Provides patient educations and health teaching.*
- Reviews and records all laboratory results.*
- Assists in patient procedures, oocyte retrievals, cyst aspirations, dilatation and curettage, embryo transfers, laparoscopic and hysteroscopy surgeries, epididymal aspirations, IVIG administration, HSG, and selective catherization.*
- Monitors recovery for post-op patients.*
- Supervises all LPN and nurse assistants, and medical assistants.*
- Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.*

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training. Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program. Must demonstrate efficiency in injections, venipunctures, and administering oral medications.
