Senior Test Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking a talented Senior Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through the design and execution of test plans.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
- Develop ATE systems to automate testing of electronic systems and modules (Hardware selection and ATE software development).
- Work with design engineers to create ATE requirements and architectures.
- Support design engineers in the debugging and testing of new time and frequency products.
- Responsible for creating and documenting test cases, engineering test plans, and verification procedures.
- Support software code reviews and perform the regression testing of software and hardware.
- Create production test procedures, user documentation, and test reports.
- Resolve production test issues.
- Provide customer technical support and training.
- Perform product verification, qualification, and environmental qualification testing.
- Coordinate FCC, UL, and CE regulatory testing.
- Design and coordinate fabrication of production and engineering test fixtures and test cables.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The applicant MUST have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science) or
- o Engineering test experience - additional experience in place of a degree.
- Excellent electronic hardware troubleshooting skills down to the component level.
- 5 years of experience developing software to automate testing of electronic systems.
- Proficient in using common Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) programming tools (LabVIEW, Python, etc.)
- Experience debugging microprocessor and FPGA hardware/software.
- Experience with configuring test equipment in an Ethernet network.
- Experience writing test plans and procedures from requirements documents/system specifications.
- Experience in regression, verification, and qualification testing.
- Experience writing test reports and summaries from lab notes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- U.S. Citizenship.
Additional Desirable Experience:
- Experience in the test of GPS Time and Frequency products.
- Experience in developing NTP and PTP test cases.
- Experience in environmental qualification testing.
- o Use of electrodynamic vibration equipment.
- o Testing to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704 and DO-160.
- o EMI/EMC testing to MIL-STD-461.
- Electronic circuit design. Schematic capture experience using Altium and/or PADS Logic.
- FPGA design experience using a hardware description language (VHDL).
- Security Clearance.

Salary: $90,000/year - $130,000/year DOE
