Position: Residential Aide (RA)
Program: Residential Treatment
Supervisor: Clinical Supervisor/Lead RA
Duties:
1. Manage individuals receiving services.
A. Disburse, account for medication and ensure security of med-room at all times.
B. Properly package and enter medications information into medication management software.
C. Make timely interventions in any client situations including: arguments relations, inappropriate or immature behavior, and any insensitive or disrespectful behavior.
D. Understand and implement all appropriate policies, procedures, and rules.
E. Make decisions based on the safety of the clients.
F. The RA should know where each client is at all times and maintain high visibility at all times.
G. Conduct random bed checks as assigned.
H. Attend all mandatory clinical meetings and trainings.
I. Communicate using the log book and phone, all questions, concerns, and suggestions for improvement to the Lead RA.
2. Perform pick-up and delivery for facility as schedule allows.
A. Scheduling should be done in accordance with client schedules such that the clients are not left without supervision.
3. Do maintenance as skill sets and physical abilities make appropriate.
4. Do administrative work as skills and individual suitability make appropriate.
5. Ensure all health guidelines and standards are observed during meals (when cook is absent.)
6. Oversee preparation of meals, client homework, and client chores.
7. Ensure to the cleanliness of the residence and grounds.
A. Oversee all chores and deep cleans-make routine inspection to ensure that work is done properly.
8. Ensure adherence to all client rules and regulations
A. Make timely interventions as soon as any infraction is observed.
B. Document all observed and reported behaviors, interventions, and events in the log book and report this information to the next scheduled clinical team member prior to leaving for the day.
9. Take clients to various recreational settings including outdoors hiking and sightseeing areas planning for this activity is an important function of this position.
10. Monitor client phone call process-carry client phone and manage incoming messages and outgoing calls (time and person called).
11. Ensure that the kitchen refrigerator, cabinets, etc...are locked.
12. Perform client check in duties such as checking their belongings for contraband and logging their belongings.
13. Perform client check out duties such as removing medications from medication management software, insuring that the client signs that they have received their medications and belongings.
14. Remove bedding from beds when client leaves and does not transition, spray down the bed, make the bed with clean linens, wash dirty linens and store clean linens appropriately.
15. Perform additional duties and/or tasks as assigned by Lead RA, Clinical Supervisor, or Executive
Director.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must receive an initial training in responsibilities &/or be able to show suitable prior experience in working with recovering individuals in a treatment setting. RA’s must have the ability work with potentially difficult individuals including ensuring a safe and compassionate environment.
In the course of working with clients, the RA must be able to take clients to outdoor recreational settings, oversee the clients at these settings, and ensure their safe and communal experience.
Tools and Equipment Used:
The RA may need to drive the company vehicle upon designation and acceptance on company auto insurance. This means that they must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and be insurable by
TWC’s insurance. RA must have a minimum limited experience with computers (sufficient to produce routine End of Shift reports). Additionally, blood pressure machines and thermometers both digital and manual; fax machine, copy machine, and telephone may be used in this position. TWC uses electronic record keeping systems for clinical data and medication management and will be used in this position.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
