We have an exciting opportunity for a responsible Medication Aide to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, positive person who is eager to learn and take pride in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as prescribed by physician
- Observe and monitor patient's condition to ensure quality patient care
- Dispense medications consistently and accurately
- Maintain proper storage and inventory of medication
- Ensure that all medication are accounted for, labeled, and maintained in a clean, safe manner
- Report any changes or concerns to the Nurse Manager
- Educate patients and family members on medications, side effects, and how to maintain proper dosage for treatments
- Assisting with light housekeeping duties such as: emptying trash, sweeping, dusting surfaces, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Nurse Manager
- Keeps a clean and orderly work environment and observant of debris and trash.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields preferred.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Ability to write down patient's medical information.
