THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Assurance Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. This position will assist in the quality testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples and finished product.
EDUCATION, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for highly motivated, reliable, multi-functional individual with a positive attitude and the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:
Education - B.S. in Biological, Chemical or Physical Sciences and 1 year of experience performing quality control or quality assurance tasks in a production environment is preferred. A lower level degree in one of the listed sciences and a minimum of 2 years of experience will also be considered.
Knowledge - of Microbiology, Clean Room Technology, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Skilled - in Sterile/Aseptic Technique
Ability To:
- Visually inspect (audit) product to ensure compliance with specifications, document product investigations, and propose corrective actions for non-compliance.
- Follow quality control testing procedures to ensure that all are performed per protocol utilizing standardized test methods.
- Observe manufacturing, analyze the techniques, investigate problems and propose alternative methodologies for process resolutions or enhancements.
- Collect, categorize, calculate, analyze and report information
- Organize, plan and prioritize work
- Clearly communicate information by telephone, in written form, email or in person.
- Operate Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop and handle materials. The employee must have the ability to physically exert himself/herself for periods of time. This includes moving 15 - 20 lb. bags in ranges from waist level to floor level and up to heights of approximately 6 ft.
Work Environment: Includes moderate hazards and risk related to the handling of caustic chemicals, and airborne particles. The employee may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment.

Pay Range: $18.50-$19.50
