Primrose School of Natick is an award-winning, family-owned and accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational childcare experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infancy through pre-kindergarten and are expanding to a 2nd location soon. We are hiring lead teachers or individuals with early childhood program administration experience that are ready to advance their careers into leadership roles (Assistant Director and Education Coordinators) in preparation for our expansion to a 2nd location.
This position will ensure adherence to our mission of bringing the best and most trusted early childhood education and childcare services to families we serve. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, resourceful, solution-oriented, and possesses great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and delivery in an assigned classroom
- Participates in training to learn school operations including but not limited to scheduling, staff training & development, health & safety procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Has a strong working knowledge of EEC regulations and contributes to the overall mission and success of the school. Acts as a role model ensuring regulatory and health & safety compliance in classrooms
- Ensures classroom equipment and faculty resources are maintained and classrooms are cared for in accordance with our service excellence assurance quality standards; upholds Cognia accreditation standards
- Contributes to and participates in classroom and school-wide events to enhance the curriculum and student learning experience
Desired skills and experience:
- EEC Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler/Preschool and Director I qualified; DII preferred
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field
- At least 5 years’ teaching experience in a licensed childcare program or equivalent teaching experience
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
