Cosmetic Medical Assistant (MA) - Full-Time - Must be flexible to work varying schedule as assigned.
Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, a Platinum Dermatology Partners company, is seeking an experienced Cosmetic Medical Assistant to assist the world-renowned dermatologists in our innovative, fast-paced cosmetic practice. This candidate must be committed to executing exceptional customer service with excellent listening, oral and written communication skills. We are looking for an individual who is a team player as well as able to function independently. This individual must be professional, tactful, mature and able to interact well with diverse personalities. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong critical thinking skills along with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Time management skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information are also critical to this position. Finally, this position requires an individual with the ability to educate patients with confidence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Certified Medical Assistant or LVN preferred
- Cosmetic Dermatology experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory issues pertaining to group practice
- Experience with EMR systems required
- Computer literate with proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Experience operating basic office equipment such as a phone, fax, copier, printer etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for patient flow.
- Review daily clinical and surgical schedule and be able to anticipate appropriately
- Ensure exemplary patient care and patient service is provided at all times.
- Decontaminates all equipment, instruments and supplies and cleans room as directed in procedure.
- Ensure exam rooms and clinic are clean at all times
- Assist and anticipate the needs of the providers in clinical and surgical settings.
- Document clinical and surgical chart notes appropriately and accurately.
- Phone triage in a timely and appropriate manner
- Increase physician and/or provider’s overall patient retention.
- Responsible for helping educate patients regarding cosmetic services recommended by the physician.
- Assists with events and seminars both in office and offsite venues as needed
- Other Duties: Completes projects, performs other duties and assumes various responsibilities as determined by management.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
