Job Description
Position of Service Advisor
The Company Mission is to provide the best possible automotive repairs and service to the community every day.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and contribute to a positive work environment in the department and outside the department.
Coordinate with other areas of the company in a positive manner in order to accomplish the duties and functions of this position.
Solve problems.
Communicate using written and verbal skills.
Keep ahead of all work.
Stay well organized.
Keep neat appearance.
Enjoy themselves and have fun while being productive.
Checking in Cars: Checking in cars as they are dropped off and greeting the customer.
Customer Rides, Pick Up and Delivery: Will be required to give rides, pick up cars and deliver cars for the customer.
Scheduling Work: Scheduling of work according to shop flow procedures.
Estimating: Profitable estimating of needed repairs.
Parts: Parts ordering, invoicing
Keep Customers Informed: Customers should be informed of the progress of the work and any additional work that may have been found, more parts needed etc.
Moving Cars Off the Street: Moving customer cars off the street in accordance with town parking rules.
Free Items: Noting on repair orders any free items given to the customer such as; Labor, Parts, Complimentary Car Wash etc.
Recommendations: Noting on repair orders any noted repairs by Technicians that were not repaired while the car was in for service.
Final Invoices: Written and printed accurate final invoice with all parts and labor on invoice.
Filing: May be called upon to file customer final invoices in filing cabinets.
Quality Control: All cars that come into the shop will have a final quality control check performed according to company policy.
Delivery of Car Back to Customer: All work sold must be completed quickly and the car delivered with in the week. Cars should rarely stay over the weekend.
End of the Day Wrap Up: Closing all invoices and credit card machine, setting up cars for the evening, accurately filling out and turning in all daily forms.
Cross Training: The Service Advisor may be cross-trained in other positions and departments.
