We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively and safely operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
- Must follow prescribed safety rules and regulations as well as other departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs as assigned.
- Assist maintenance personnel by performing a variety of duties as directed.
- Detect, document, and report improper machine operation and faulty equipment.
- Job typically requires 2 years of technical training and 5+ years’ experience or equivalent.
- Detect, document, report, and resolve equipment issues.
- Understand mechanical and/or electrical schematics and offer design improvements necessary.
- Can demonstrate competence and proficiency in standard mechanical or electrical tasks.
- Ability in determining root cause for troubleshooting systems.
- Support engineering in their projects by providing expert resource support.
- Write up new PM procedures and administer these through our document control.
- Set up preventative maintenance for machinery in designated areas as required.
- Understand and comply with LOTO, HAZ Com, PPE, Confined Space, and all other Company, State, and Federal Safety programs.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
- Understanding of press operation.
- Knowledge of company polices and safety rules.
- HVAC and refrigerant systems a plus.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9000.
