Job Description
The Resource Coordinator Imaging reflects the mission, vision and values of Northwestern Memorial adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Provides coordination of staff and resources, oversees patient schedule, and problem solving.
Responsibilities:

Facilitates delivery of quality patient care or service during a designated shift(s). Promotes a positive first impression with department patients, establishing a role as patient advocate, in accordance with Patient’s First service standards, age-specific sensitivities.

Coordinates staff and patient schedules to optimize resources and respond to demand. Directs patient flow through the department to insure turnaround time of patients is within department protocol. Coordinates staffs break times as not to disrupt patient flow.

Interacts with various hospital departments, physician’s offices, and outside vendors to effectively manage

operations.

Displays technical competence in imaging and the associated systems, and acts as a resource for these

areas.

Monitors operations in a proactive manner to eliminate potential patient scheduling problems, flexing staff coverage to meet demand. Prepares monthly schedule of department personnel.

Supports management team with approving timecards for all employees within service line/department.

Monitors supply levels to ensure that timely reordering of necessary items, and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department.

Encourages teamwork and effective communication with staff, promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and Department.

Promptly identifies and communicates problems and critical issues to the manager.

Reports instances of equipment irregularities and failure as soon as possible.

Performs in a technical/clerical capacity during staffing shortages.

Assists Manager in completing Performance Management Process (PMP) on all employees within cost
-
center.

Develops, promotes and encourages staff education.

Identifies strengths and weaknesses of employee to properly assess employee growth throughout the year.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- State of Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety License (IDNS).

American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration as Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

CPR Certification (BLS)
-
Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
-
Minimum of two years experience within an imaging professional role
-
Excellent interpersonal verbal communication skills
-
Excellent problem solving and leadership skill
-
Experience in a leadership role
