THE POSITION:
We are looking for a talented and creative Senior Copywriter who will be responsible for crafting the brand voice and messaging for The Shade Store. This role is key in developing a consistent and aspirational voice for all campaigns and messaging while supporting business objectives.
Working across multiple touch points, the Senior Copywriter generates and contributes content focused on engaging customers and building brand awareness to ultimately drive sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own the voice of the brand.

Create original, innovative, clear, persuasive brand and editorial copy that strategically delivers key messaging to promote seasonal campaigns, key launches and product stories.

Understand our business channels (consumer/trade) and craft compelling messaging that sparks consideration and engagement across all channels including but not limited to website, emails, paid and organic social, print ads, digital ads and marketing materials.

Refine and elevate our brand voice across marketing initiatives and throughout the customer experience, while communicating the unique features, benefits, and value propositions of our luxury window treatment products.
- Edit and proofread your own work, as well as that of coworkers, maintaining high standards of clarity, effectiveness, and brand alignment.

Collaborate with design partners to produce standout and strategically focused concepts and design assets, and lead concept presentations for messaging as needed.

Manage projects independently and efficiently, under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects.

Ensure all copy is aligned with brand voice, style guidelines, and marketing objectives.

Conduct thorough research on industry trends, target audience preferences, and competitor offerings to inform content development and messaging strategies.

Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to grammatical and editorial standards.

Stay updated on best practices in copywriting, content marketing, and SEO techniques to optimize content performance and drive engagement.

Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in the home and luxury retail industry
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

10 years of experience in copywriting, preferably in the luxury retail or home decor industry.

Exceptional writing skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.

Proven ability to craft persuasive and compelling copy that resonates with target audiences.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; adapt easily to quick changes, requests and deadlines.

Organized, with the ability to build and maintain systems for communicating, sharing and distributing written content.
- Strong research skills and ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.

Experience with digital marketing channels and familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus.

- Detail oriented self-starter who isn’t afraid to ask questions.

The base salary range for this position is $120k-$130k, commensurate with experience.
