We are searching for a talented RN to join our new practice at Beacon Dermatology in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a private practice setting and able to rapidly learn new skills. We have a new dermatology practice that involves medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology so multitasking is critical. You will manage patients through their appointments and assist the dermatologist during patient visits. Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Assist during dermatology examinations
- Assist in dermatology procedures, including surgeries, cosmetic treatments and other dermatology procedures
- Providing verbal and written correspondence to patients via phone and portal system
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Assist in inventory ordering and maintaining medical supply levels
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
- Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment

Job Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of NC with preferred 1-year experience in dermatology office setting
- Experience using electronic medical/health records (1+ year required)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing RN program
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required (medical clinic setting preferred)
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Valid unrestricted state of NC RN license
- Current state license to practice as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
Physical Demands
Physical guidelines include the ability to stand/walk up to eight hours/day; stoop, bend, twist. Assist patients in turning and arising from the exam table. Push wheelchair patients and assist a patient in arising from and returning to a wheelchair. Requires the ability to stand, sit, bend, reach overhead and carry 50 pounds, if necessary
Work Environment
Clinical setting; exposure to communicable disease, medical preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
