Starting pay is $17.50 per hour.
Applicants must be detail oriented, dependable, and be familiar with using basic tools, including power tools. There is constant movement, including squatting, bending, lifting and kneeling.
Mandatory overtime, including weekends may occur as production requires. The regular work schedule is 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday if not working overtime. Currently, the assembly department is working an average of 45 hours per week; 9 hours per day. This is subject to change as production increases. Saturdays or Sunday may be mandatory. The daily hours are subject to change weekly based on customer demands. This is only provided to give a general idea of the current schedule. Pay is weekly.
This job requires constant movement, being on your feet on concrete and heavy lifting. Depending on the product, stooping may be required throughout the work day. There may be exposure to cleaning chemicals.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Assembly Operator
Department: Assembly
Reports To: Team Leader and/or Production Manager/Supervisor
Status: Full Time; Non-exempt
Shift: First Shift
Summary: The assembly operator is responsible for, but not limited to preparing product for paint process, cleaning interior, installation of components, and preparing for shipment by following customer and Maxwell Industries standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Properly prepare product for paint.
· Be able to read assembly prints and retrieve all necessary supplies and components to complete the operation.
· Identify, organize and route jobs through the assembly process.
· Utilize proper lifter equipment and/or procedures for parts exceeding 50 pounds.
· Gives finished tank a cursory inspection to ensure tank meets customer visual requirements.
· Utilize basic hand tools including, but not limited to Allen wrenches, torque wrenches and shop vacuums.
· Fill out proper documentation.
· Maintains tooling utilized in job duties.
· Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.
· Refer to and follow work instructions.
· Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.
· Other duties may be assigned.

Education: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.
Language: Ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions and other applicable correspondence.
Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Physical Demands: Regular use of hands to touch, hold, or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms (including overhead); stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Meet the standards of the company physical. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is offered for your use.
