We're seeking a self-starter, dynamic, ambitious, independent, and entrepreneurial Liquor and Wine Outside Sales Consultant to join our team.
This position is responsible for driving on/off-premises sales through effective business planning, retail execution, and customer relationship management.
Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain strong and effective customer relations.
· Successfully sell, distribute, and placement of our products.
· Conduct promotions in accounts on a regular basis or when required.
· Develop new accounts.
· Maintain current accounts assigned.
· Plan and execute a daily schedule of calls for assigned territory.
· Ensure maximum brand visibility and marketability within accounts by utilizing effective display position and current point of sale materials when appropriate.
· Identify market specific business development opportunities.
· Review, evaluate, and suggest pricing programs to ensure Mercury Import’s competitiveness in the marketplace.
· Proactively identify challenges that new product introductions face in area of responsibility.
· Present weekly reports on status of current and potential accounts
· Handle deliveries as required.
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of On/Off-premise beverage sales.
· Ability and willingness to work independently.
· Strong industry relationships.
· Proven track record in building good relationships with customers as well as internal associates.
· Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify both needs and opportunities.
· Valid TABC certification.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
· Must be at least 21 years old.
· Willingness to work full-time, non-traditional, late-night hours as required
· Computer literate with the ability to use software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Bachelor’s degree Preferred.
· Bilingual Preferred.
This is a 1099 position for autonomy and flexibility with a lucrative commission structure.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
· Must be able to stand, walk, sit
· Must be able to move up to 55 lbs
· Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear
· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
· Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive a car
