Job Description
The Pool Attendant will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Basic Functions:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Pool Attendant will:
- Perform routine cleaning and daily maintenance on swimming pool and related equipment.
- Ensure a safe, attractive, comfortable and sanitary environment by the swimming recreation area.
- Assemble, transport, set up and take down pool furniture and equipment for events or programs as needed.
- Routine custodial work as it relates to swimming recreation area such as picking up trash
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Abilities:
- Materials, equipment, terminology, and chemicals used in pool maintenance.
- Standard knowledge of swimming pool safety precautions.
- Modern pool cleaning methods and use and care of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Record keeping techniques.
- Oral and written communication skills
- Proper methods of storing furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies. Health and safety regulations Proper lifting methods. Methods of storing materials, equipment, and furniture
Shift Time: 8-10pm nightly.
Typically less than 20 hours per week.
Requirements
Physical Demands/Environment:
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling heavy or cumbersome objects. Dexterity to operate specialized pool maintenance equipment. Dexterity to operate specialized pool maintenance equipment.
- Outdoor environment. Standing for extended periods of time; includes bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching.
- Exposure to chemicals and fumes such as chlorine, acids, and cleaning disinfectants.
Education And Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent education preferred.
Experience in pool management preferred.
License Required: Possession of a valid driver’s license.
