We produce character-driven documentaries, business video case studies, social video and commercials for some of the most exciting brands and impactful organizations in the world including TED, Facebook, and Greenpeace.
Job Overview:
People’s Television is looking for a freelance Social Content Creator to join our team. You will work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to help execute the company’s social media channels and produce & post a wide range of video and graphic content including, but not limited to video reels, original graphics, social media captions, & email newsletters
Responsibilities may include:
- Pitch social media content that aligns with the brand, target audience, and business goals.
- Attending bi-weekly marketing strategy meetings.
- Execute content planning and social media calendar management.
- Produce, shoot, and edit engaging short and long-form video content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Write compelling scripts and concise copy that resonate with the target audience.
- Use analytics and social media insights to monitor the performance of content and make data-driven optimizations.
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the content stays innovative and relevant.
- Maintain a consistent brand image and voice across all social media platforms.
- Collaborate on innovative video projects and brainstorm ideas to bring in new audiences for People’s TV social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the internal team to gather assets from video projects and behind-the-scenes content, ensuring all content aligns with overall brand messaging and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the CEO, attending industry events and producing real-time content in the field, when necessary.
Ideal candidate:
- Is located in the New York Metropolitan area & can commute to our office in Midtown Manhattan, if needed.
- Strong understanding of all social media platforms and best practices.
- Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling and shareable content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
- Is detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
- Is a creative thinker, with an ability to take initiative and multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for social media, digital marketing, and emerging trends in the digital landscape.
- Is passionate about visual storytelling and film production.
- Is friendly, eager to learn, and enjoys working with a team!
