Job Summary:
The Associate Manager, US Marketing supports the development and implementation of marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive conversion across US channels to maximize growth potential, drive long term profitability and build brand equity. The Associate Manager will lead activations by leveraging global innovation and assets, analytics, consumer data, competitive research, and retailer feedback.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Trade Marketing:
Assist with the development of internal and external presentations, merchandising updates, sampling, and the execution of marketing initiatives at Sephora and Ulta
Oversee the sampling process from ideation, forecasting through launch. Partner with Sephora to optimize assortment to meet KPIs, partner with demand planning to place forecasts, manage POs and budget to ensure monthly financial targets are being met
Oversee Item Setup/Price Change Process by completing relevant retailer forms – ensures all SKU information (UPC/Item Code/SRP) is correct
Ensure all marketing programs are executed on-time and within budget
Initiate design and merchandising optimizations for Sephora and Ulta with visual merchandising team
Submit VM copy & visual requests through Wrike (project management system) and ensure timely delivery of assets
Partner with PR and Social to create support plans for key US moments (BI Sale, Exclusive Product Leads, events)
Assist with Product Comp requests and send-outs to all retailer partners. Oversee tracking & execution of all product comp requests, communicating delivery and tracking to retailers, and maintaining product tracker document for status visibility
Oversee “Gratis” for individual retailer partners and special retailer programs (e.g., Sephora Squad, SEPHORiA, Ulta Beauty Collective, etc...). Ideat gratis assortments, and execute and tracks orders
Lead and execute retailer-specific initiatives (i.e. Rewards Bazaar Spotlight, 7-Day Skincare Challenge, Sephora Favorite Kits)
Brand Marketing:
Contribute to the development of US objectives/strategies/market share goals to drive brand growth
Partner with Global Marketing on long term planning to ensure US needs are considered. Leverage competitive insights to drive future innovation and initiatives for retailers, as well as identifying overall opportunities in the US market
Provide and present analysis/feedback on major product launches as part of Global launch feedback
Lead monthly competitive reporting, including best practices in Beauty and Prestige sector, opportunities in design, product and branding initiatives
Collaborate amongst interdepartmental teams ensuring US storytelling is cohesive from a 360 perspective
Aid in the US forecasting process from development to submission
Partner with US Brand Marketing lead to report on monthly performance in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications & Competencies:
3-5 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in beauty
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required
Exceptional analytical skills and financial acumen
Must have a proven track record in successfully executing innovative marketing plans
Must have strong leadership skills and ability to work with people from cross functional departments - dynamic, flexible, positive attitude
Organization and prioritization with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
Strong presentation and communications skills
Knowledge on current marketing trends, media industry news, entertainment/pop culture and retail innovation
A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback
Ability to work independently and utilize sound judgment
Proficient in Excel, Power Point, and Word
