POSITION SUMMARY:
The Industrial Electrical Technician is responsible for plant maintenance within and surrounding the facility.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics and drawings.
· Ability to successfully program, troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment including circuitry, PLC’s, motors, controls, hydraulic and pneumatics.
· Install power, light, control wiring as needed.
· Maintains/troubleshoots, pressure/temperature transducers, flow meters and circuits using 4 to 20ma signals.
· Repairs mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed.
· Performs building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
· Complies with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions.
· Reviews manuals, blueprints for spare or repair parts as needed.
· Keeps records.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Education: Associate Degree in electrical technology with a minimum of five years’ experience in food plant maintenance preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
· Must be computer literate and have experience using computer software applications such as CMMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
· Must have complete understanding of PLC and logic controls for equipment operation.
