Position Details:
- Title: Special Education Teacher
- Location: Plaistow, NH
- Duration: SY 23-24
- Onsite/Virtual: Onsite

- Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday
- Student Age Group: High School
- Case Load: 8-15 kids
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for special needs students.
- Provide differentiated and inclusive instruction to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents for creating a supportive educational environment.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and collaborate with the behavioral support team to address challenging behaviors.
- Maintain an open communication line with parents providing updates about student progress.
- Stay updated with best practices in special education through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Special Education or a related field.
- New Hampshire State Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and special education laws.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
