Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be responsible to lead our team of experienced control panel fabricators in the St. Louis area. As a valued member of our management team, you will be the source of direction for our warehouse. This position acts as the liasion between customer specifications/changes and the production team. This position will coordinate between the sales team and the panel fabricators ensuring a seamless start to finish coordination of orders.
Duties:
Training, planning, scheduling, organizing and overall direction of day to day activities related to production
Discuss with personnel to determine priority and expected delivery dates to customer
Perform constant review of “in process” jobs as well as upcoming jobs to keep a pulse on progress and ensuring that dates are met.
Determine best operating parameters on a multitude of projects
Oversee the schedule of the production facility
Preliminary review of RFQ’s to determine best course of production of various complexities of control panels
Overseeing that all adequate parts are on order to build the project including review of schematics and bill of material
Communicating with the engraving team to ensure all the specific needs for each custom and repeatable panel are ready for the beginning of assembly
Determining if a custom label is necessary to be assigned to each project
Completes project work involving more advanced solutions
Reviewing of schematics and bill of material to ensure an organized production process and accuracy.
Quoting hours on completion of panel production including quality check out
Coordinating and Overseeing the customer checkout & programming process
Being responsible for Customer Satisfaction 100%
Lead engineering responsibilities for a portfolio of projects in varying business sectors
Provide technical support in the design & manufacturing of each project
When time allows, will assist in miscellaneous fabrication or assembly of all projects
Requirements & Qualifications:
5-7 years minimum of experience in the Engineering of manufacturing facility
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Team leadership experience is a must
UL 508A approved or could pass the test needed to be approved.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain guidelines established by management
Must possess excellent communication skills both verbally and written
Computer proficiency: AutoCad, Excel, Word & Outlook
