The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) is hiring a Virtual Field Deputy Director to run our Virtual Field Program in 2024. The Virtual Field Deputy Director will lead a program to help hundreds of candidates around the country organize and run phone and text bank events with their own volunteers. This will include working directly with campaigns and vendors on everything from script writing to voter targeting, tech support, and general consulting.
We piloted our Virtual Field Program in 2010. We’ve made over 9 million calls through this program, and our conversations with voters are widely recognized as efficient and high-quality.
We are looking for candidates with management experience, an organized work style, and a cool head under pressure. By the end of the year, you’ll be able to brag that you were directly responsible for millions of voter contacts.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop revenue goals and an actionable work plan to reach revenue goals.
- Recruit candidates to utilize services from our network of endorsed, supported, and trained candidates as well as other progressives running for office.
- Coordinate directly with candidates, campaign managers, and consultants to pull voter files, create effective call scripts, report back results, and ensure prompt payment, where applicable.
- Act as a general field consultant for supported candidates.
- Maintain call and text software.
- Closely track cashflow and ensure campaigns are meeting finance deadlines.
- Create systems and track results from each call and text shift for both internal and external use.
- Provide remote support to candidates running their own shifts.
- Additional responsibilities as needed and assigned.
