Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Representative to join our team at thyssenkrupp Materials, NA - Engineered Plastics. This role is an ON-SITE, pivotal in ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100D standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and enhancing the quality of our products and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality systems, with a focus on audit procedures and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and document customer and vendor complaints, facilitating material disposition and credit entry into SAP.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System, including participation in Management Quality Review Meetings and Internal Process Audits.
- Conduct root cause investigations and provide recommendations for corrective and preventative actions, utilizing methodologies such as 8D's.
- Provide internal and external technical assistance, serving as a resource to Sales, Buyer, Plant, and Warehouse personnel on quality system documents and record-keeping duties.
- Support all departments with quality training, ensuring compliance with system requirements and fostering a total quality environment.
- Assist Sales with Customer Quality Survey completion and contribute to continual improvement projects, identifying areas for enhancement and maintaining visual boards and audit history.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience or training in ISO9001:2015 or AS9100/9120.
- Proficiency in quality systems, Lean training, and computer applications.
Preferred Requirements:
- ASQ certification is desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control.
- Familiarity with Root Cause & Corrective Action methodologies, 8D's, and experience in the plastics industry.
