Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. The candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance department, ensuring the smooth processing of various financial responsibilities, including AP/AR, general ledger, application of GAAP, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has solid, confident, and comprehensive experience, as well as someone who is willing to grow in this role. The candidate should bring a variety of accounting skills to this role and will need to have the desire to contribute to accurate and thorough work processes.
Responsibilities
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with Local, Regional, and International vendors and suppliers particularly Asian demographic, in a bilingual environment.
- Application of GAAP in all work performed.
- Process duties related to AP/AR functions.
- Perform customer invoicing, cash applications, processing vendor invoices; research, track, and resolve any issues.
- Enter and process vendor bills received for payment along with vendor management, including W-9 administration and identifying 1099 vendors.
- Record all transactions accurately and timely to journals and post to general ledger.
- Reconcile subsidiary accounts, credit card transactions, and others to the general ledger.
- Identify and escalate any tasks or client requests encountered that are not identified on the client work instructions to the Manager.
- Completion of assigned jobs within the targeted timeframe.
- Run custom financial reports on a regular basis and upon request.
- Become familiar with the company’s best practice’s, policies, and procedures.
- Adapts easily to learning new software applications and demonstrates proficiency with core applications.
- Review and enter new customer and vendor information where required.
- Assist Finance Manager with financial audits, and other routine duties, when required.
- Has the ability to work collaboratively, ensure efficient problem solving, and work through complexity in a deadline-driven environment.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
