Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programming and operating CNC machines, ensuring the accurate production of precision parts. The candidate will oversee members of the CNC department, train in programming & setup, and conduct Planning & Scheduling for the department.
Duties:
- Develop CNC programs to fabricate parts based on engineering drawings
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Milling machines
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery per guidelines
- Interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments including bore gauges
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to achieve project goals
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in setup and operation of CNC machinery
- Minimum of 2 years in CAD/CAM programming
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation (Fusion 360 & SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with both CNC Mills and Lathes (Haas background preferred)
- Familiarity with Precision Measuring Instruments and Bore Gauges
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machine operations
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and complex geometries
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for accurate part fabrication
