Overview:
Servers ensure that guest have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest’s name when possible

Take guest beverage order in a timely manner and explain the food selections and offerings

Maintain complete knowledge of the daily buffet food and beverage offerings.

Anticipate guests service needs

Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions
-
Speak to guests’ and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
-
Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs with minimal amount of disturbance to other guests

Polish flatware and Glassware
-
Set up tables and server stations according to outlet standards, use proper glassware, condiments, and polished silverware.

Notify management of maintenance repair issues

Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell

Complete open and closing side duties during the shift
-
Maintain proper table maintenance throughout the guest dining experience ensuring dirty plates, glassware and utensils are cleared consistently

Work with others to ensure guest service standards are met
-
Bring dirty flatware, glassware, dishes, etc. to breakdown station so it can be properly washed.

Constantly inspect workstation, ensure floors are clean and free of debris.

Complete any additional reasonable requests by management

Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift
