Fire Alarm Superintendent
Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers is looking for a* Fire Alarm Superintendent* in Fort Myers FL.
This position reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of Alarm Technicians. Ensures each fire sprinkler system installation is completed on schedule and within budget.
Day to Day
- Studies the specifications of each job in order to schedule all installation procedures—such as starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of the installation—based on expert knowledge of the available tools, equipment and installation methods.
- Sets up and reviews monitoring accounts.
- Interviews job applicants for Alarm Technicians and provides input regarding hiring decisions. Trains employees, reviews and explains work, explains and enforces company rules and Regulations, conducts disciplinary interviews, counsels and coaches employees, appraises performance and recommends changes to status or pay.
- Provides technical support for field personnel and customers.
- Assembles Supervisory, Clerical, Contract Layout Technicians and other workers at the start of each project.
- Orders tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
- Maintain stock in truck and service.
- Coordinate refurbishing efforts.
- Assists with scheduling of service calls.
- Programs and downloads panels.
- Updates subscriber information.
- Confers with Supervisors, Contractors and Subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications and coordinating various phases of installation to prevent delays.
- Confers with Supervisory personnel and employees to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force.
- Confers with Supervisors, Contract Layout Technicians, Inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve installation problems and improve installation methods.
- Visits job sites to inspect work in progress to ensure all work conforms to specifications and installation schedules are met.
- Prepares, or receives from subordinates, reports on progress, materials used, costs and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
- Ensures all safety rules are followed and all work areas are clean and orderly.

What are the Qualifications for this position?
- 5 years of Fire Alarm Experience
- Computer/software knowledge with Q360 and other apps/programs as introduced
- Design and Field experience is preferred, but not required.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have Good Organization skills, Time management skills, and Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to wear proper protective equipment as required on all job sites.
- A company vehicle will be provided for this position requiring a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic.
