Job Summary
The Tire Technician reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager and Fleet Maintenance Supervisor. The Tire Technician is personally responsible for providing proper tire inspections, repairs, and replacements on the existing operational fleet. The Technician is personally responsible for providing proper fluid level checks, lube, greasing when needed.
Job Description
- Performs repairs on tires only and must have and/or be able to pass TIA certification.
- Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on vehicles and equipment.
- Completes daily inspections of all wheel positions on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs safety inspections and/or repairs of DVIR reported issues.
- Responsible for daily lubrication inspection on all equipment
- Checks the fluid levels topping off as needed, greasing, and cleaning preparing for next shift.
- Operate all related equipment and tools as trained.
- Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in heavy truck equipment & light duty truck tire maintenance
- Must be able to work overtime if needed.
- Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations
- Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional
- Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Acceptable Driver's Record
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Trade School Certification
- ASE Certification
Physical/Environmental Demands:
- Physical:
- Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, & smelling continuously.
- Problem solving, oral communication, analytical ability, concentration, exposure to heavy machinery, & eye/hand coordination, & handling continuously.
Bending, reaching, stretching, crouching, & lifting
- 50 Lbs. continuously.
- Exposure to unprotected heights occasionally.
- Environmental:
- Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet slippery surfaces, hot/cold conditions, & noise continuously.
- Works inside and outside.
Pay: $21 - $22.50 or based on long-time experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
