The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling all customer inquiries, via email, phone, or in person, courteously and efficiently. The CS Rep will display exemplary interpersonal skills that promote a superior company image while providing information to customers on product features, prices, and warranty and repair services.
Essential Functions

Respond to all incoming phone calls and emails from customers and dealers. Use basic understanding of DSLR and Mirrorless photography to answer customer questions.

Facilitate customer repairs by receiving lenses, performing inspection estimates, entering service orders, and tracking repair status using our computer system (AS-400).

Educate our customers on the benefits of our products and encourage sales at every opportunity.

Complete repair orders and prepare lenses for return shipment to customers.

Enter repair orders online quickly without sacrificing accuracy.

Proofread all repair orders with great attention to detail.

Process customer credit card charges and run end-of-day credit transactions.

Complete warranty registrations for customers.

Proactively reach out to unresponsive customers to expedite the repair process.

Receive parts orders from customers as needed.

Perform all other required duties as assigned by the department supervisor
Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.

Minimum 1-3 years of related office experience required, including customer service, sales support, and/or operations.

Knowledge of photography and photo industry products is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Proficiency in PC-based programs (especially MS Outlook and Excel) is required.

Prior order entry experience is a plus, preferably with AS-400 (or similar system).

Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers and members of all levels of our organization in a professional and diplomatic manner.

Exceptional telephone manner, with the ability to manage conflict and remain calm in stressful/challenging environments.

Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize/multi-task.

Ability to work independently on tasks while still contributing to the team effort.

Capacity to follow precise procedures with great attention to detail.
The salary range for this role in Commack, NY is $35,100-$40,950. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to work experience, skills, knowledge, education, or certifications.
