Official Job Title: Day Service Specialist
The Day Service Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of community-based, person-centered day service plans. This position is designed to facilitate building relationships between employees in the position and persons served by the program. As a strong communicator, the Day Service Specialist will also ensure regular communication with clients, client teams, co-workers and community members.
In this position, you will:

Develop, plan and coordinate individualized, community-based activities for program participants to promote greater community independence, skills and social interaction.

Provide daily direct support/direct care to clients with disabilities and/or disadvantages. Duties may include medication administration, use of adaptive equipment, and personal care support.

Daily documentation of service/progress notes.

Transport clients in MRCI provided vehicle.

Community outreach.

Utilize technology.
-
Work independently, while also collaborating with a team.
Qualifications/Requirements:

A High School diploma/equivalent.

Sales and/or customer service experience preferred.

Sensitivity to the needs of individuals with disabilities.

Must possess excellent communication skills both with clients and community members.

Proficient problem solving skills.

Demonstrate competency in computer based office software.

Must live within a 25 mile radius of posted service area.

Must have a home based-work space for Company provided computer, including quiet/private area and sufficient internet connections.

Must have valid driver's license with designated space for overnight parking of company-issued vehicle.

Must clear a background study through the Department of Human Services.
