SouthCoast Pediatrics in Richmond Hill is Seeking a LPN Clinical Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting Practice Manager in all clinical aspects of medical practice. Supervises clinical staff on a day to day basis, and ensures that work and patient flow are meeting practice goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Practice Manager in overseeing the day to day operations of the practice including patient flow, clinical support functions, and is liaison with check-in, check-out, and scheduling.
- Sets the example for the team members, in professional behavior, dress code, office standards, etc. Responsible for training new and current staff on corporate policies and procedures and protocols as well as holding quarterly training sessions for clinical staff.
- Ensures compliance with operational, clinical and Human Resources policies, procedures, regulations, and standards. Demonstrates knowledge of and supports corporate mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, and the code of ethical behavior. Assists
- Practice Manager in overseeing and supervising clinical operations and backs up Manager with Clerical supervision when needed. Responsible to communicate needs to manager with regard to and including proper staffing, identifying qualified candidates through selection process, orientation, scheduling, training, disciplining and supervision of staff as directed. Assist Manager with conflict resolution and performance issues and evaluations as directed. In the event there is a clinical staff shortage, supervisor steps in to help with the clinic flow as needed.
- Assists Practice Manager in performing such office functions as: office payroll and tracking information, including records of vacation, sick leave, and overtime for all clinical staff.
- Keeps Practice Manager informed of any issues in office, as pertaining to physicians, office staff, patients, procedures and inefficiencies. Handles office issues as directed. Works with Manager to resolve issues and identify solutions.
- Identifies and makes recommendations in areas of ineffective processes. Implements new and improved processes within office. Supervises all staff work status and progress.
- Assists Practice Manager with daily operations as delegated. Ensures that invoices are coded and processed in timely fashion. Ensures that purchases are made within established guidelines. Ensures that financial reporting, including but not limited to, missing tickets, hospital reports, and deposits are completed within required deadline.
- Prepares information and presents information as required at regularly scheduled staff meetings (clinical and administrative).
- Supervisor is the “go to” person for the department. Provides a point of contact for team members and management. Will share knowledge with other team members. May be asked to research problems, share resources, and meet with team to provide solutions and recommendations. Shares responsibility with other team members.
- Maintains and tracks Phototherapy units and paperwork.
- Maintains and keeps medications and supplies stocked in procedure room and ensures they are not expired. Ordering and maintaining inventory par levels, as needed.
- Maintains vaccine ordering, count, expiry dates and completes audit for GRITS.
QUALIFICIATIONS: Unrestricted LPN license in state of GA or Compact license. A minimum of three (3) years experience in a clinical setting, preferably pediatrics and a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
REQUIREMENT: Must pass proficiency test. Maintain current BLS/CPR Certification.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Two years of college, LPN program, or equivalent strongly preferred. General medical knowledge and medical terminology acquired through formal education or on the job training required. Prefer graduate of an accredited training program. Courses health care office management preferred.
