PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Hiring Range for this position is: $17.96558 - $22.45697/ Hourly
This is classified as VHNE (Variable Hour Non-Benefit Employee), where the selected candidate will work less than 29 hours per week. This position does not provide medical benefits. This position earns sick leave in accordance with the Healthy Families and Workplace Act.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception, mail handling, filing, and records maintenance
Provides a layer of security by screening gate and building entrance
Scheduling of facilities and events
Composing correspondence, answering and referring phone calls and emails
Processing documents, logging payments; ordering office supplies, documenting work orders and invoices
Performing data entry, and providing basic/initial customer service activities
Additional responsibilities may include performing office functions such as distributing and copying documents, moving and storing items, composing forms, and standard documents and serving walk-in customers
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of business English, spelling, and math
General office equipment, including personal computers with related software applications
MS Office Suite
Preferred knowledge of Access Control or similar security system
Abilities:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and citizens.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to understand oral and written instructions
Handle stressful situations with tact and diplomacy
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with little supervision

Efficiently and accurately key information using a keyboard and skill in performing data entry.

Light physical work lifting at least 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds with or without assistance.

Frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communication with employees and citizens
Equipment Used:
Frequently uses standard office equipment including computer, calculator, multi-line telephones, and copy/fax machines.
This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment.
